  1. Anytime I take my dosage, I get heart burn. I keep a remedy for heartburn at all times.
The strange thing is this, if I take the medication with soda, there is never any heartburn. This is strange, I know, but I wanted to share just incase it may help someone else out.

  3. I can't deal with the heartburn anymore. It was so severe I had to turn down a two thousand dollar shopping spree today! I couldn't stay in the upright position let alone walk around a store. I was very upset by this. It also came with a very expensive meal that I had to pass on. I couldn't eat all day. I'm calling my doctor tomorrow informing her that I am no longer going to take this. She will have to come up with something else, nothing over the counter fixes my heartburn. I have to force myself to sleep (usually with medications) just to get through the pain. My suggestion to anyone going through this is to call your Doctor immediately. The emergency room just gives you an upper GI cocktail but it helped me very little.

  6. Im so glad to have found this post. I have had this happen a few times but tonights is by far the worst! After taking Prozac on an empty stomach I got the worst burning in my chest like the pill was stuck in my throat. While shopping in walmart I seriously thought I was going to pass out. I began to feel my heart race and felt faint along with pain between my shoulder blades. Thought I was having a heart attack. Ate a little bread and took a prilosec and feel a bit better but still have the burning in my chest and am belching. Yuck! I will never take it on an empty stomach EVER again.
